Our client, a busy and growing Union Health and Welfare Fund located in Elmhurst, Illinois, is looking for a direct-hire full-time Collections Coordinator. The ideal candidate is someone who is reliable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, with exceptional time management and organizational skills. 

This is a direct hire full-time position working onsite in Elmhurst, Illinois Monday-Friday from (8:00am to 4:00pm) with a 30-minute unpaid lunch for a total of 37.5 hours paid per week. 

Job Responsibilities

• Manage contractor contributions, including issuing monthly demand letters, reconciling daily contributions, recording liquidated damages (LDs), and tracking discrepancies.
• Manage collection efforts and follow-up communications.
• Assist with employer setup for online remittance.
• Compile and organize documentation for contractor compliance audits.
• Support participant eligibility processing, customer service, and claims adjudication through cross-training with other team members.
• Collaborate with staff and report directly to the Assistant Administrator.
• Eventually be cross-trained to assist with the payment of medical claims.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; interest in pursuing CEBS Certification is a plus.
• Experience with QuickBooks is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in managing the Union Fund’s social media presence is a plus.
